From what a coincidence! to what is this coincidence?

From what a coincidence! to what is this coincidence?

Consciousness: Aware of and responding to one’s surroundings.

Subconsciousness: Of concerning the part of the mind of which one is not fully aware but influences one’s actions and feelings.

Unconsciousness : Neither has awareness nor has the response to the surroundings.

Why do I need to know about subconscious mind? Because I need to understand it completely before analyzing deja vu. They are still happening for me without any reason. In quest of deja vu. This hidden workshop unveiled itself within me which is running from many days. Still running and keeps continuing. Why did I uncovered it? Because I didn’t know something like this exists in everyone before recognizing it. If there are 4 group of people in this world who have different perceptions of the subconscious mind. I’ll belong to third in them.

1. Who doesn’t know anything about the subconscious mind.

2. Who just heard about it. And they know the dictionary meaning.

3. Who completely understood what is it.

4. Who did masters or PhD in it. And they are experts in controlling it.

Before I explain anything. I would like to give you the experience. That may also give you the clarity apart from misconceptions.

Try to slow down your breath for 5 secs with closed eyes. Yeah, I know you’ll skip that. Okay listen. That moment when you pay attention to breathing is controlled by not so-called subconscious mind. It is the conscious mind that observes your breathing. But as the moment when you shifted attention back to reading. Then its subconscious mind that regulates your breathe. It is doing without your consciousness. Anything we do automatically without our consciousness are done by subconscious mind. Blink of an eye for dust. Handling clutch, brake and accelerator when riding a bike. These are the things we do automatically with subconscious mind. Our involuntary actions are programmed in our subconscious mind. The main objective of any adds are to make mark at our subconscious level.

Some interesting facts about subconscious mind.

  • Our subconscious mind never discriminates between good or bad it simply operates on whatever it is obtained from our conscious mind.
  • It doesn’t know the difference between a real and imaginary experience.
  • It is never ever related to time. Suppose we ask a question for it. If it knows the answer within a fraction of a second it gives us the answer. If it doesn’t know what you ask, it keeps on searching without caring about time. That’s why some people say that subconscious mind can only be experienced in present.
  • Its function is to store and retrieve data.
  • It is hidden part of the mind which is 90% of our mind.

After understanding the subconscious mind. Many different thoughts arose in me when I changed my question from what a coincidence! to what is this coincidence? Most peculiar one is I started to think that, deja vu may be the coincidental point of both subconscious mind and conscious mind. Because it’s not possible for us to be in both of these two minds at the same time. Many people say that whenever our conscious mind sleeps. Our subconscious mind wakes up. But this is not true. It may appear to be true. But that’s just misconception.

Our subconscious mind is running even in the presence of conscious mind but not on behalf of the conscious mind. If you think correctly here you get completely understand what subconscious mind means. There is a reason for their belief. When one of the two go to sleep. Which one remain awake? I think you got the answer. Then our subconscious mind never sleeps? Yes it is. But it never sleep until it is tired.

Dreams are the navigation of subconscious mind when we are asleep. Remember our CM stops when we sleep. As I said earlier it never differentiate between real and imaginary things. This is the reason we feel dreams so intense and interesting.

It’s a complete workshop behind our vision to achieve it. It’s a complete database from which we can access any data in it with or without our will. Just like any computer or mobile. We have these two as RAM & ROM. Where CM acts as RAM and SM acts as ROM.

Think practically whenever we observe our subconscious mind. Are we experiencing subconscious mind? No! Whatever we do with our attention is our conscious mind. So in the absence of conscious mind we experience subconscious mind. What happens if both of these minds coincide. Imagine two lines going straight parallel to one another. One as subconscious mind and other as conscious mind. I don’t know exactly why. But by chance if there is any strong reason to exchange their roles of these two lines. Then they meet at any point while crossing. What happens if these two lines cross each other while switching?

Source :

I don’t know the result. But we have a chance of staying in both conscious & subconscious mind for very little time duration. I think it’s the time gap we experience deja vu. Some people call deja vu as parallel universe. I’m also not taking any different approach apart from them. My suggestion is to consider both SM and CM as they are running parallel to one another.

Book review : Alchemist

Alchemist back cover
Source : Google

I got this book from my brother’s friend. The book is written in 1988 by Brazilian author Paulo Coelho originally in Portuguese. Later it has been translated to many languages. I picked it up with no interest at all. I mean I select some books by title and author with more excitement. I mean to say this is not one of them. I simply took this to have a look without any idea. But I liked this very much and had its hang over for over months when I finished reading. Look at the Character page in the above image to have a brief idea of the plot of this book.

Its the art of converting any metal into gold. Thats what they call Alchemy. Its a story of an adolescent shepherd boy who went to learn this art. The boy goes on searching for Alchemist for that. But the Master’s teachings were different from boy’s wish. He teaches the boy what he needed more than what boy wanted. He clarifies boy’s wish first even when boy came with all clarity and commitment. He makes the boy to think about his true happiness. Later on boy also come to know that he don’t know where to find his most real happiness. He doesn’t even know what it means. He becomes more confused and thinks about how his heart has become so vulnerable to too many unreal things. Then boy go on searching for true treasure. His journey becomes more adventurous and he loves that. By the time he find his true happiness. He’ll leave everything he had at that moment which are once a dream for him.

With all this author narrated little love story in between protagonist and a desert woman. Faith of each other in this love story appears more profoundly. They meet each other hardly 3 to 4 times in entire book. And they doesn’t make any lengthy conversation. It’s the beauty of their love.

The whole philosophy spoken in the book is simple. You keep moving towards your dreams if you listen to words of your heart. At some point of time our brain warns and give up. But heart doesn’t. Its the wildest creature ever created on earth. Thats why our ribs are cages. It never cares about the consequences or calculations of brain.

Its not possible to have always a happy moments in life. Life is a mixture of both happiness and sadness. The alchemist teaches the art of converting any moments into a happy moments to the boy. Its a strange conversation of men with omen. Just in case if you don’t know the meaning of Omen. They are nothing but the signals from the nature to remove the confusions of right and wrong while taking any decision.

Starting chapters and some pages at middle of the book are boring but it has great insights. At the end he didn’t find gold. But he’ll get whatever he wanted to have with that gold. This book is great if you want to read adventure and philosophy. It has many thought provoking insights where you loose yourself in introspection. You can finish it with two or three sittings. I suggest you strongly to read it once in your lifetime. You’ll find yourself in the journey of the boy and it helps to understand your past. Have a look at the front page of the Book below if you want to open it.

It kept Resonating in my mind

It kept Resonating in my mind

Perfection comes from persistence
Persistence comes from patience.

I really had very serious problem with patience. I fall for immediate gratification. I don’t know whether it is fear of mistakes or a matter of excellence. It kept obstructing me to write this post. But somehow I got with my form after reading these lines.

“Pleasure in the job puts perfection in the work.” – Aristotle

From past 2 weeks I’m failing put my thoughts into words because I’m suffering from disease called paralysis by analysis. I keep on planning again and again and again but never came to execute whatever I plan. I’m chasing perfection without persistence. I’m not able to come out of my comfort zone and became too lazy to do anything that worth my interests. I had heard one quote somewhere that read, ‘even a small step but in a right direction is what progress is all about’. I think I took these lines too seriously.

I don’t know how, today I took my courage to write whatever it comes from my mind. As I said before, I’m procrastinating to write my second blog post. You may ask me what will I do all day and night? During day time, I’ll be busy in spending time with my books and movies. I’ll be lost in facebook, YouTube, quora at nights. Apparently I don’t have prime time for myself to do anything productive. What I would like to share is how I enjoyed music. I’m listening one melodious love track from recent release in Telugu. This is what I’m blabbering to describe about my joy in listening. Okey now I came with plan to simplify it. I’ll unfold it by dividing it into two parts. First I’ll go with audio of the song. Then I’ll explain what I like in the video.

They used the thabala and veena very effectively. (I’m not sure it’s Veena. It may be any other string operated instrument). Sounds of thabala of right pitch gives more of a classical touch to the song. Alternative shifts of thabala beats among two ears feels like they made those sounds by playing with my head. Veena chords are played in a tranquil flow. The resonance of Veena and thabala beats are so enchanting to hear. It’s a complete feast for ears if you are a classical music lover. Constant background trance of western beats keeps our hearing more captive. Sounds from violin notes come and go appropriately which most of the people fail to recognize. But I liked that sounds unconsciously which propelled me to like the full song.

Lyrics of the song speaks about the beautiful worries of a caring passionate lover. The way writer played with words for explaining the amusement and confusions of whimsical heart makes me smile. Voice or raaga of male is not so good, but female voice is so lovely to hear. It is so enchanting because of its pleasing tone.

I like the slow paced video when actor comes riding my favourite bike Royal Enfield continental GT 750 on banks of the beach. Other than location one more weird reason to like this song is heroine. She looks very attractive in this song. She looks attractive because of her garments and ornaments are short for her measurements. The way she exposed her figure makes my mind so vulnerable to most contrary thoughts. She’s not so inevitable beauty. But if we fail hold on our senses back with our wit. It doesn’t need any time for the video to steal our thoughts.

Over all, they completed the video with all commercial elements to attract huge mass. Because of solely this song I walked into theatre to watch the movie. If you ask me which is that song? It’ll be little bit embarrassing for me to spell the name. Go through this link to get that song.

After watching movie. Unexpectedly one more song influenced me which is sung throughout the movie like a theme music. I like this one personally. It kept resonating in my mind even after coming out of the theatre. Arvind swami’s charm looks same as it appeared in Bombay. Very handsome and stunning. Apart from his charm his intelligence and tactics make us to like him without option even his ways are evil.

Source : Google

His attitude gives the song another rise in level of excellence. Lyrics of the song elevates the glory of evil. Listening this song inspires me to be an indomitable evil. It dominates my dopamine action without caution in my body. There is some kind of affinity in the song that gives the feel of Infiniti. Its not fair to reveal the name of that song if I created enough curiosity to know about it. I’ll leave it for you to figure it out. Because I don’t want the unnecessary names enter into your mind unless until you are ‘interested

My idea about ‘dejavu’

My idea about ‘dejavu’

Heed note

Hi guys, this is my first blog post. So I’m little bit anxious at my choice of words fearing that I may make many mistakes in Grammar or spelling. But perfection never be achieved without persistence right?!. Just in case if you find any mistakes, please do comment.

What’s deja vu?

Have you ever felt an overwhelming familiarity of some moments which appears to be already felt before or repeating again? It’ll be more interesting if you too experienced it earlier. Same words, sounds, visions & same actions will repeat in a known sequence one after the other. It happens for only very short time period just for about 2-3 secs and it comes to our consciousness only when we are feeling them.

source : Google

Its popularly known as ‘deja vu’. This word is derived from French ‘deʒa vy’ which means a feeling of having already experienced the present situation. A french philosopher, Parapsychologist & a well known writer Emile Borac (c.1851-1971) believed that, it happens because our soul sometimes travel ahead of time and foresees the future. So when future actually happen it is already seen. Seems like a crazy thought he had, but we don’t have any idea of why this is happening. He is the one who named it first as Deja vu. Just like Borac, many other well known writers like Tolstoy, Dickens and Proust also had their theories on Deja vu in their works of fiction. We cannot rely on fictional concepts right? well, many other psychiatrists and researchers like Dr Neppe (c. 1983), Takashi Kusumi (c. 1994-96) and Roger Brown (c. 2003-04) had given their conclusions out of their research & surveys.

Deja vu is not any kind of the disorders associated with brain. However its studied under memory disorders in psychiatry. This study explains Deja vu phenomenon as metacognitive mechanism. Metacognition is nothing but the data about the data. Or simply a metadata. As we all know cognitive process means any process which involves our thinking process like calculating or reading. Metacognition process means we think about what we have to think. Its preparations before actual thinking. It decides why & what we have to think. When & where we have to think.

Source : Google

Survey shown that its common among 70% of the people and it appears most of the time when we are fatigue. With sheer curiosity I asked many friends whether they also felt this before? They said affirmatively that they rarely get to have Deja vu but they fail to tell me when & where they got experienced that. Deja vu may be defined as any subjectively inappropriate impression of familiarity of a present experience with an undefined past experience. So far you came to know about Deja vu. Don’t you have a curiosity to know why it actually happens. Well, me too want to know the reason behind this strange feel.

Source : Google

Why Deja vu happens?

Although we have a satisfactory definition for Deja vu. We don’t have a Specific reason for why it actually happens. But many psychiatrists had given their reason out of their research. It may be…

  • Similarity and dissimilarity judgements between present & a retrieved past experience.
  • Reality monitoring for the retrieved experience which is decision on whether or not present experience is identical with a retrieved past.
  • Nostalgia : A strong memory of nostalgic moments and a strong desire to experience them again.
  • Dreams : Comparison of small dream fragment from forgotten dream with the present.

My idea about deja vu

Surveys had shown that it happens most of the time when we are fatigue. I don’t think it happens at times when we are fatigue. I think it happens exactly like what we plan when we are fatigue. I think it happens because of procrastinating our plans. It is much similar feeling like we are experiencing an unplanned situations like we are planned. We have every chance of postponing our plans when we are extremely tired. We may forget those plans for the very same reason. I think it doesn’t happen when we are tired. It may happen exactly like our forgotten plans.

So guys this is my idea about deja vu. If you have any opinions or information relating this experience please share with me.
